The international jury of more than 200 executives worldwide awarded NNG with three International Business Awards for one of its development solutions, as well as its recent marketing and internal communication campaigns. The competition attracted more than 3,900 nominations from organizations in more than 60 nations, and the winners were announced on 10th August. Acknowledged for its business strategy and outstanding growth, NNG was the first Hungarian company to win a Stevie at this prominent international competition three years ago.
One of the three International Business Awards, a Gold Stevie in the category of the Best Sales Presentation Event was given to NNG for its special showroom introduced on a Japan tour. Set up at three venues in ten days, the demo room imposed a major challenge both in terms of logistics and organisation, especially because all preparatory works were managed from Budapest, Hungary. Attended by 150 partners, the event largely contributed to the strengthening of business relationships in the otherwise very closed Japanese market, carefully protected from foreign enterprises. In its evaluation, the jury pointed out the highly challenging environment and the efficiency of the project in addressing customers, who are otherwise very difficult to reach.
NNG’s special and, at the same time, trendsetting event designed to boost internal communications with the help of Saint Isidore, patron saint of IT, was rewarded with a bronze medal in the category of Communications or PR Campaign/Program of the Year – Internal Communications. The event series was built around one of NNG’s basic values “curious”, and offered a wide variety of activities to satisfy the taste and stimulate the interest of developers. The programme elements included, for example, the opening of a museum set up to showcase the precious IT relics of the employees. The special day was crowned with the exclusive presentation of Steve Meyers, the internationally renown guru of C++ programming, author of a several specialist books, who was received like a rock star by the audience of hundreds of employees, mainly developers. In its evaluation, the jury highlighted the especially creative idea and the professional staging.
Developed for Ford, NNG’s single automotive navigation solution designed to be “local” in many markets around the world earned the company a Bronze Stevie in the category of the Best New Product or Service of the Year – Software – Other. Upon Ford’s request, the Budapest-based NNG came up with a solution that allowed the carmaker company to customize the navigation program to the special local needs and requirements in 50 countries in seven regions worldwide. The software solution built on the principle of one but endlessly versatile software engine has made NNG’s “navigation for all” vision a reality. The jury was especially convinced by the complexity of the task and the well-considered innovative solution, which also takes cultural differences and languages variations into account.
